Members
The Davis Chapter of Gamma Sigma Delta was installed on November 16, 2000 at the UCD University Club. Individual membership in the organization is for life. UCD already had over 80 members who were elected while they were students, post docs or faculty at different colleges across the country. Eighteen previous members agreed to be charter members and Tom Rost, Rick Bostock, Linda Whent and Mike Singer agreed to serve as officers for the first year. Three officers from the International organization came to campus to install the charter at the first annual banquet held at the UCD University Club. We initiated 26 new members at the banquet including Deans, faculty and senior staff. Over the past two years we have added 47 members to our chapter. To date our primary contribution has been to provide financial support to the Undergraduate Research Conference. As our chapter grows so will our ability to contribute to the campus community.
